DJI Dock Series

Feature availability

AirData can automatically ingest DJI Dock 1, 2, and 3 flight logs through the Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) flight logging process. To get started, follow the setup instructions below.

Important Notes

1) DJI FlightHub syncing requires an AirData Enterprise subscription.

2) AirData will only sync DJI Dock flights that are completed after MQTT setup.

3) DJI FlightHub currently only accepts one AirData Auto Upload Token at a time.
As such, all DJI FlightHub flights will be assigned to the pilot associated with the provided Auto Upload Token.

Users will need to reassign flight logs after they are synced from DJI FlightHub.
As a best practice, we recommend creating a "generic" pilot account to capture all FlightHub flights.

Post-Flight Checklists can be used as a way to assign flights after they are uploaded to AirData.
Please see this help article for more details:
https://app.airdata.com/wiki/Help/Using+pre+and+post-flight+checklists

Setup Instructions

1. In your FlightHub 2 account, hover over your email address in the top right, select My Organization and click on the settings gear icon.

2. Select FlightHub Sync.

3. Click on  Device Information Synchronization (MQTT Bridge).

4. a) Toggle the Forwarding setting to the right-hand position, so it reads "Forwarding serviceRunning".
b) Then, click Configure Server. This step is necessary even if you have previously configured your DJI FlightHub MQTT server.

5. Populate your configuration info and then click Test Connection and Save and Connect.
Host: mqtt01-us.airdata.com
Port: 1883
Compliance Info (top field): The Pilot's AirData Auto Upload Token
A list of pilot tokens can be found by navigating to app.airdata.com -> My Account -> Users/Pilots
Note that all DJI FlightHub flights will be assigned to the pilot associated with this token.
If you prefer not to assign all Dock logs to an existing pilot, you can create a "generic" pilot to capture all FlightHub flights for later reassignment.
Compliance Info (bottom field): The AirData password for the pilot account associated with the above Auto Upload Token.

6. After clicking Save and Connnect, future flights conducted with the DJI FlightHub will automatically be uploaded to AirData.

Hello Mauricio,

Thank you for writing with this question.

After going through the configuration process of syncing your DJI Dock to AirData as described above, there is no separate section for viewing DJI Dock flight logs. The DJI Dock flight logs will display in MY LOGS -> FLIGHTS along with any other flight logs in your account.

If you have any further questions or require additional assistance, please feel free to reach out to our dedicated support team at support@airdata.com. We are happy to help!

Thank you for your time.

Best regards,
Teresa

Hi Team, I have configured everything as described above, but I have no synchronised flights. What should I check?

Hi Arturo,

AirData will only synchronize DJI Dock logs for flights that are completed after the MQTT setup. This is different from other supported logs, for which we can ingest historical flights. Can you confirm that you have conducted flights with the Dock after completing the MQTT setup? If you have completed flights and they are not uploading to AirData, please send an email to support@airdata.com so we can further troubleshoot.

Best,
Trevor

Hi Travor,I confirm that I entered the parameters before making the flights.

MQTT and Port with the parameters from the guide above;
Username: I entered the auto upload Token;
Password: I entered the Airdata account password.

Does the Dock only synchronise scheduled flights with an automatic task or also when I use FH2 for flying with manual controls?

Thanks!

Hi Arturo,

Both automatic and manual Dock flights should be synced with AirData. Did you change your password on AirData after entering it in the MQTT "Telemetry Data" form? If so, please update the password on the form to match your new password.

If you still have trouble syncing your Dock flights, email support@airdata.com so we can review your account. Please include the email address associated with your AirData account.

Best,
Trevor

Hello,

Thank you for writing.

AirData is designed to display flight logs after the completion of a flight, not during the aircraft's operation. We do not track your drone’s location in real time; instead, we parse the information in the log after it has been uploaded.

If you are having trouble uploading flight logs to your account, please reach out to us at support@airdata.com, and we would be happy to assist you.

Thank you for your time.

Best regards,
Teresa

Hi Alejandro,

Thank you for posting this question.

As far as we know, DJI FlightHub 2 does not currently output any flight log files.
As such, there does not appear to be a way to retrieve past flights from FlightHub 2.

You may want to reach out to DJI support to confirm if this is still the case.
If you are able to export flight logs from DJI FlightHub 2, please let us know at support@airdata.com
We'd be happy to help import them.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to send us an email or send a message through our contact form: airdata.com you.

Best Regards,
Tom

Hi David,

Are you asking about the user interface changes that came with the transition from "FlightHub Sync (Beta)" to "FlightHub Sync"? If so, we are currently working with DJI to obtain the necessary information to update our help article. In the meantime, feel free to contact support@airdata.com if you're having trouble setting up the new "FlightHub Sync".

Best,
Trevor
